The Western Wall

to hope, pray and believe that better

Every single one of us hope to find true happiness.  We pray that our children are raised to the light.  And each of us us believe in the strength of the human spirit.

Each day people from around the world of different faiths, religions, colors and creed stand here  grieve, to mourn, to cry, to hope, to dream and to believe that one day everything will be realized and explained.  It is a place of solace despite all the people that surround you, a place where you can be with just one, you’re able to express your anger and rage, your joy and sorrow.  You find forgiveness and praise, you find love and sympathy and you find answers and you find hope.  It is The Western Wall.

It is the most significant site in the world Jewish People.  To stand before it and see the devotion, the love, the gratitude given to this wall is awe-inspiring, to see the importance of this wall to Jews.

While the wall is a tribute to the resilience and strength to Jews around the world, it is a place that every one of us can be a part of, the majority of the world population are good we all strive and seek to live and love and enjoy this life, to rise up from our past, live in the present and hope for the future.  We realize that no single person, religion, creed, color or ethnicity is superior to another.

Each of us want to find that happiness, the love and peace so we are all able to stand side by side to understand each other and find all we share starting with our beliefs.  So often that one person you think you’ll have nothing in common with is that one person that could change your life and you theirs and you find yourself saying ‘me too.’

So often religion is used as a reason to commit acts against humanity.  But when you stand in front of site that doesn’t discriminate, where it doesn’t matter you religion, ethnicity, color, creed, background.  A place where perfection is not expected and mistakes are forgiven, a place where all religions for a moment can be one and stand together, when you are able to find that place, embrace, cherish it, worship it, The Western Wall is one such place.
