Bangkok’s nightlife is exciting and vibrant and can stand by side with any world city and hold its own and some cases surpass.  And with the multitude of places to start, spend or end your evening you will not be disappointed with all the city has for you.

For those of you with no fear of heights and want to start the night high above Bangkok at one of its many rooftop bars there is no shortage.  Your only question is how many stories will you go for a martini?

 Rooftop Bars

  1.  Above Eleven –  a glass of wine, martini or whatever your drink of choice add a dj and some hip-hop, r&b or even some jazz and you have the perfect place to start your night and if sixty-three is too high maybe thirty-four stories is more to your liking as gaze out at Bangkok’s beautiful skyline under a starlit sky.  https://aboveeleven.com/bangkok/
  2. Sky Bar – martinis sixty-three stories high? hell yes!!!  If you visit one rooftop lounge this must be it.  The perfect spot to watch the sun fade and the moon rise add in some of the best cocktails you’ll have and a staff that make sure your glass in never empty.  http://www.lebua.com/sky-bar
  3. CRU Champagne Bar – ‘where angels play’ and at fifty-nine stories above the city you’re high enough to see them.  A 360 degree view out onto to Bangkok’s beautiful skyline another perfect spot to start your night with the angels.  http://champagnecru.com/

‘..I heard somebody say burn baby burn, disco inferno..’

Bangkok’s club scene easily rivals NYC, Barcelona and Tokyo.  And of the five nights I went out, each one I picked at random without knowing what to expect and none of them disappointed.

My 5

  1. Sing Sing Theater – this is one the most fascinating discos I have been in.  It’s designed as a Chinese theater and it gives you a 360 degree view of the entire venue, add the amazing drink choices and the music this one place you can’t miss. http://singsingbangkok.com
  2. Ce La Vi – another spot you won’t go wrong, not as fancy as Sing Sing – but music and drinks are equal, if you love hip hop this is for you. And for those that still want to be high this one is on the 39th and 40th floor.  http://celavi.com/
  3. Route66 – attracts a bit of a younger crowd but the music and drink are is just as good as the other two. http://www.route66club.com/
  4. Beam – I am not the biggest fan of techno, I don’t like it all actually but likely this had a hip-hop room down below.  http://beamclub.com/
  5. Onyx – the biggest club in the city – just go and enjoy. http://www.onyxbangkok.com/

These are the five nightclubs I went to during my stay, and each night I just picked one not knowing what to expect and just added to the magic in this city, you don’t know what to expect, because Bangkok itself is magical.
