Summertime 2019!!!

Summer 2019!!!!!

‘Where will the journey take me this year?’  That is the million dollar question so many will ask themselves as each day brings us closer to start of summer 2019, when we shut down the computer, lock the desk and leave work for an adventure in another part of this world.  For those that aren’t looking to spend 24/7 on a perfect beach and want an adventure, with a beach included in a few places here are 17 countries you might consider:

  1. Stockholm/Copenhagen/Oslo – experience daylight 24/7 during the summer solstice in three beautiful cities that are just as fascinating.  Each one so much different that the others but everyone of the as fascinating as the solstice itself.
  2. Cartagena – inexpensive, an absolute beautiful coastline and beaches that go on forever.  The famed ‘Old City’, quaint and peaceful neighborhoods and a nightlife that will keep everyone happy.
  3. Boston/Nantucket/Martha’s Vineyard – take your pick or experience all three.  Boston is one of the most historic cities in the US from the Freedom Trail to Fenway Park, this is a city to visit any time during the year.  Nantucket is a tiny island with streets made of cobblestone and dune-backed beaches.  Martha’s Vineyard is a favorite vacation of a few presidents – harbor towns and lighthouses, sandy beaches and the famous Oak Bluffs.  Which ever one you pick you will be happy.
  4. Mykonos – skip the line for the Parthenon and board the high speed boat to this beautiful island.  Rent a moped and go exploring for a day, or spend a day walking through the many neighborhoods, seeing all the history of this beautiful island or spend a long day on the beach doing absolutely nothing.[supsystic-gallery id=232 position=center]
  5.  Budapest/Vienna/Prague – for those of you with a limited amount of vacation time this is the perfect vacation land in Budapest and depart from Prague, each city less than four hours apart on the eurorail.  Beautiful Budapest divided by the famed Danube River and the famed Chain Bridge with each side as captivating as the other.  Follow there Danube to Vienna with its famed Opera House, The Hofburg Museum and The Belvedere Palace and multitudes more.  From Wenceslsas Square and the Old Town Astronomical Clock and of the best museums in the world and The Charles Bridge connecting the the two sides Prague is the perfect way to end a ten day adventure that took you to three major European cities and you still have vacation time left for your next journey.
  6. Santiago/Andes – a sprawling major South American city with perfect blue water hugging the coast to its historic city center and an endless list of possibilities, Santiago is a place not to be missed.  Embracing this beautiful country are the Andes Mountains for those wanting to be one with nature – zip lining, rafting, kayaking and of course mountain climbing take your pick.[supsystic-gallery id=236 position=center]

  9. Zurich – it is without the cleanest city I have ever been in and for those traveling through Europe on board the eurorail this summer add Zurich to your list of cities to visit.  The Grossmunster Cathedral, The Swiss National Museum which tells the story of this country and Uetliberg, for those that love the outdoors and a view of the city from high above and Lake Zurich and did I mention The Swiss Alps.
