Berlin, Germany – Who can ever forget their first time? That moment something you’ve dreamed of for so long was finally happening – excitement, anticipation and anxiety melded together. Fantasy was now a reality, and you were finally doing it. And there was no true way to prepare for it, who can when you’re entering the unknown. It was something we had to do, it began to consume us to the point where it was all we thought – at work, the gym, at home it was 24/7 all of with the same thought what would our first time be like.

I’ll never forget my first, something that was months in the making and on star filled night in Boston it finally happened, fantasy was now a reality. That moment I’ve wanted and waited for. It didn’t matter whether it was morning, afternoon or evening, it was irrelevant all that mattered it was finally happening to me. That night in Boston is a vivid today.

I never thought something so big could hold so much. I strapped myself for a nine hour dream I was living. Before I knew it I was in a star filled sky high as a kite fantasizing of what was awaiting me. With each hour it got more and more intense and the excitement just overflowed I even took time out to eat dinner. How many can say that about their first time, I even had breakfast the next morning. I even fell asleep and no one was angry.

Slowly the stars began to fade as the sun rose and my first time was only beginning and as we began to descend my nine hours inside this mammoth beast would finally end with a single phrase – Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren in Berlin – ladies and gentlemen welcome to Berlin, Germany. My first time was just beginning of what would be the start of seventeen years of travel – I was finally in Europe.
