My Five Favorite Rooftop Restaurants

There is nothing quite like sitting outside high above a city whether the sun is filling the sky or stars are illuminating it, a rooftop is one of the most romantic places and if you make your way to any of these cities and want dinner under the stars these are my five favorite things rooftop restaurants,

  1. High Note Sky Bar – for those of that make your way to Budapest and want to have lunch with a panoramic view of this beautiful city this must be it.  A lunch that will not disappoint and a cocktail menu inspired by films this is also a place to start or spend the night.  https://highnoteskybar.hu/en/ The Ritz-Carlton Budapest Hotel Review, Hungary | Telegraph Travel
  2. Die Kuche Im Kraftwerk – translated it means ‘The Kitchen in the Power Plant’ and that is exactly what it is.  It is a converted power plant where the food is cooked right in front of you.  It has a sprawling rooftop terrace for you to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner with the beauty of Munich, Germany as your backdrop. http://diekuecheimkraftwerk.de/ Love the lit up sign and ceiling, lights, and concrete floor ...
  3. M S Roof Garden Athens – and for your appetizer, main course and desert – The Acropolis.  Imagine sitting enjoying an amazing meal staring at one of the most historic structures in the world bathed in white light for the world to see.  Add to that one of the best dinner menus in the city you might not leave.  http://msroofgarden.gr/  10+1 Roof Gardens in Athens with an Acropolis View | Athens Insiders ...
  4. Lookout Rooftop Bar – sitting high above Boston on top the Envoy hotel this might be the most popular rooftop bar in the city.  In Boston’s Seaport District the lookout comes with panoramic views of the city and Boston Harbor.  https://outlookkitchenandbar.com/lookout-rooftop-and-bar/  Lookout Rooftop Igloo Bar | The Envoy Hotel Boston [11/13/23]
  5. Basement Wine Bar – I am sure Zagreb, Croatia is not on many bucket lists but for those of you that want a night of enjoying the fine wine this city and true Croatian cuisine and for those of you with a fear of heights this one is in the basement.  https://basement-bar.net/ Vinoteka Bornstein (Zagreb) - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go

I could have put up ten more, but I decided to trim the list to these five.  I would love to hear some of your favorite rooftop restaurants from your travels.  And as always thanks for reading.
