Beer Gardens of Berlin

Beer Gardens of Berlin – Of the many things Germany is known for their beer ranks among them, some the best anywhere in the world sure to satisfy any palette for a beer lover.  What also Berlin has throughout the city are ‘beer gardens’ places where on any given day or night (weather depending) to simply drink beer.  In the two weeks I’ve spent there I visited many getting to know the wonderful people of this city and here are my five favorite and if you do visit and see why I love them.

1.  Zollpackhof – hands down my favorite beer garden.  What I liked most about Zollpackhof, it is a restaurant as well along with two terrace offering German food, if you can go and enjoy the Sunday roast.  So if you are looking for the best beer and the traditional German food inside of out this is your spot.

2.  Bierhof Rudersdorf – it’s a great location and a perfect size.  A great way to start a night of stay there, they do close at midnight.  And like all of the gardens it is seasonal and weather depending.  And like all the gardens it is a great place to meet the locals and English is very well spoken.

3.  Golgatha – personally I am not a fan of big outdoor venues that go on forever, especially one that can 600 people as with the case of Golgatha.  But what it does offer is worth it, at least for me.  Homemade food from cooked on a charcoal grill and a dj as well.  And if you want to start your day here they have breakfast as well.
