Cambridge, Mass

Sitting across the Charles River from Boston is the city of Cambridge, Mass home to M.I.T. and Harvard University, the perfect place to stay if you don’t want the big city of Boston.  And while it might not offer all the sites and sounds of Boston it has plenty to keep those who visit or stay happy.  The majority of all to see and do in Cambridge are on Massachusetts (Mass) ave. including Harvard University and M.I.T. or off it.  This a city you can not miss when you visit Boston.

    Attractions

  1. Harvard Square – while it is called square it is actually a triangle at the intersections of Massachusetts Avenue, Brattle Street, and John F. Kennedy Street and it is the most visited place in the city.  This the best place to begin or end your day. http://www.harvardsquare.com/

Harvard University – where there’s a  Harvard Square must be a Harvard University.  Ivy League at it’s very best.  Harvard remains one of the best colleges in the world and for those of you that can’t afford $67,580 for one year perhaps you can afford the $12 seventy minute tour (that comes out to $994 per minute) and see all that make this one of the most prestigious colleges in the world.  http://www.trademarktours.com/harvard-tour/
  3. Harvard Art Museums – the university is also home to three museums – the Fogg Museum, the Busch-Reisinger Museum, and the Arthur M. Restaurants 

The city also has a multitude of choices that will satisfy whatever your taste that easily rival and in Boston.  The majority are in Harvard Square or not that far away and most of which are on or off of Mass. ave.

  1. The Border Cafe – this might be the most popular restaurant in Cambridge.  It offers cajun and tex-mex chow and some of the best margaritas you will ever have along with beer and wine for those that love cajun you must have at least one meal at the border and once dinner is over you and your wallet will still be talking. http://www.bordercafe.com/

Nighttime 

For those of you that don’t want the crowded disco with a cover fee that costs you more than your lunch and dinner combined and prefer a small bar and maybe even some live music.  Here are my five favorites.
