No more google translate, please. How many of that read this met the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, your true soulmate on a journey. You found true love, the one person that truly makes you happy like none other before them. The relationship is a perfect ‘9’ and the ‘1’ to keep it from perfection is neither of you speak each the other’s language. A person does not enter your life by accident – at any given time, place or moment the one person we are meant to be with will enter. For me it was in Colombia within a year I was learning Spanish because I know I have found the one. And while it has improved quite a bit I still have a long way to go especially being in a country where most of the population do not speak English.
The day you start learning their language you know right there they are the one. How many of you have or are speaking a language you’ve never spoken for true love? Have you ever asked yourself ‘is this worth it? The constant use of google translate begin to frustrate you to the point you take it out on each other. The only way to learn a language is being in that country where you have no choice but to speak it. And what I have learned is it takes years to be able to speak a language perfectly where you can speak it without fear, you’re able to communicate as if you’ve spoken the language your entire life. And what makes my relationship more unique they live in Colombia. I’ve had my moments when I questioned was it worth it. But all it takes is opening a photo of the two of us happy and I keep going and I start to rely on google translate less and less.
For those of you out there going through the same thing keep at it. And those moments you ask ‘is this worth it’ open a photograph of the two of you sit and stare at it for a few minutes and keep studying. And we can all speed up that day none of us need google translate ever again. And that ‘9’ will be a perfect ’10.’
