Is Israel Safe?  Each time I tell people I’ve visited that is the first question they ask me.  Let me tell you all plain and simple  Israel is one of the safest countries you will ever visit with a military presence like no other country obscure and visible at the same time.  And the one thing that never concerned me was my safety.

The Middle East, how many people will either plan, cancel or turn down or not even consider a journey to that part of the world?  And that can’t be without cause the Middle East is one of the most dangerous places in the world.  And sadly that is the only time you hear anything from that part of the world is when acts of violence are happening.  How often do you see, hear or read about travel to Israel?  I will say it until I die people can judge a country like they do a race of people if a small percentage of it is violent well it must apply to all.  And as sad as that is it is many have that mentally when it comes to travel but it only displays ignorance and their refusal to understand.

I don’t have to tell anyone that we live in a different day and time but the world could learn a lesson or two from Israel when it comes to protecting those who live there and visit.  Why would you take issue with having your bags searched before you enter a public domain, a mall or bus terminal surrounded by soldiers holding machine guns, a pat down before entering a disco for the night or going through a metal detector to enjoy a day at an art museum if it gave you peace of mind knowing you are safe, in some cases more so than you are in the US.

I spent eight days in this fascinating city and to some degree misunderstood and with all the countries I have been to in eighteen years of travel Israel will stands alone.  Because it truly is like no other place in this world.  A place everyone should visit and realize all it means to each one of us, the country it is absolutely magical so go and experience this country and all it has and realize and appreciate its importance in this world and if you let it Israel might even change you.  So anyone that reads this that might be apprehensive about travel to Israel, get of the fence and go book your trip right now because Israel is without question, safe.
