Some of best places in any given city are the places that only those that live in the city no about. The places that aren’t on a tourist map or guidebook, the bars that are hiding in plain site and every city and town have their own collection the dive bar. The bars where no one’s cares who you are but want to know, here are five you must visit.
- Charlie’s Bar – undoubtedly my favorite bar in all of Copenhagen. It didn’t matter if you were in an Armani suit or ripped jeans it was all about having a good times with your friends and the Dutch are the most friendly I have ever known. For those looking to end a day or start a night out with the men and women that call Copenhagen home this is a bar you must visit.
- Floss Bar – you won’t find any Armani suits in Floss it’s raw with the attitude, what you get is what you see. It’s not clean, it’s not dirty either, it’s just there. The decor are spray painted murals covered in spray paint. And for those that love a good game of pool there are a few tables to keep you happy.
- Bo-Bi Bar – just another spot to hang to meet the locals, sit down and talk with anyone and everyone doing one shot after another even when didn’t ask for one I loved the atmosphere at Bo-Bi and for those that do visit, they do allow smoking.
- Lord Nelson – of all the dives I visited this was the cleanest and the smallest making it all the more intimate and they pour the best Draught Danish Craft Beer and Ciders anywhere in the city and it was one of the friendliest of all the bars I visited, for those wanting the best local beers you must visit. And while it is in a basement there are seats upstairs on the sidewalk.
- Moose – one of the travelers favorite words ‘cheap’ you will the cheapest pints in the city along with some very friendly people with graffiti covered walls. They also have music and like the others smoking is allowed. But once you get by that you will have a great time.
