Ten Beautiful Skylines

Skylines are one of the most beautiful things about a city, a mixture of high rise buildings that rise above and embrace it and when the city is dark it is the skyline that illuminates it and whether you’re in a highrise apart, or on the ground admiring it, a skyline adds beauty to a city like nothing else can, here are my top ten

  1. Boston – in eighteen years of travel no skyline will ever match Boston as happy as I am to see it fade as go on another journey I am happy to see it slowly come into focus once again.  The Prudential rising high above the city and the John Hancock steps away – or Rowes Wharf sitting on the harbor just pick a place and enjoy and admire.  Boston skyline at the evening. 2. Sydney – right on the heels of Boston is Sydney, Australia an absolute stunning skyline that is made all the more amazing with its legendary Sydney Bridge.  And with the multitude of things to see and do sitting and watching the sunset must be one your list.  Downtown Sydney skyline | Online Courses Australia with Certificates ...
  3. Hong Kong – I have never seen a skyline like Hong Kong’s it is one collage of high rises one building taller than the next as if architect’s were competing against each other for the right to say ‘mine’s bigger than yours’ well in my opinion they all won because this skyline in a word – WOW!!!  Hong Kong - Hong Kong skyline by night. | Skyline, New york skyline ...
  4. Santiago –  set against the backdrop of the Andes Mountains is what I love most about this skyline it sits perfectly beneath the Andes Mountains they blend perfectly and whether you enjoy the skyline from atop of the Andes or enjoy the Andes from the highest point in Santiago this is a skyline like no other.  Old and New: 11 Photos of Santiago, Chile | Santiago de chile, Skyline ...
  5. Chicago – another skyline that reaches in high into the clouds with the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) rising higher than any other.  With Lake Michigan as its coast from land or sea this will always be among my favorite skylines. 7 best views in Chicago | Chicago Architecture Center
  6. Tel Aviv – watching this skyline come to life is as vivid today as the morning I witnessed it.  Slowly a perfect orange sun was rising over the city fading out what little darkness remained and from the boardwalk to its downtown and everywhere in between the skyline’s of Tel Aviv will always be among my favorite. 7. Barcelona – I have been to Barcelona twice and it always fascinates me, it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.  From the Gaudi Temple to the Torre Glories, the Torre Mapre and Diagonal Zero and just every high rise in between the Barcelona skyline is beautiful.Barcelona Map - Detailed City and Metro Maps of Barcelona for Download ...
  8. Panama City – this might surprise many that this on my list but the fact is Panama is a modern city with so much to see and do and at night it comes alive and along its coast is a skyline you might not be expecting. The skyline of Panama City at night, Panama City, Panama, Central ...
  9. Stockholm – I visited Stockholm during the summer solstice so I never got to see the city in the night but during the day it was unlike any other I have seen in my years of  travel because it doesn’t really have one is not a barrage of high rise buildings running up and down its coast instead it stays true and lets its history line its sky.
