In over twenty years of working as a waiter I have worked with many Colombians and each year I’d plan my vacation they always said why don’t you go to Colombia; you’ve been everywhere but Colombia. Well, I realized the only way I was going to shut them up was to go, so in March of 2015 I would finally visit Colombia.
In all my years of travel there are two countries the response is ‘why would you ever go there?’ Once I told where I was going, Colombia was the first. It’s dangerous, it’s violent, it’s this, it’s that but it’s also ignorance
